Digital X-Rays
Digital x-rays, which are being adopted by much of the dental industry, have been designed specifically with you in mind. Thanks to specialized imaging software, these x-rays use 80% less radiation while also providing the dentist with a more accurate look at your mouth. The image is displayed on a computer monitor rather than being developed on a small X-ray film. The larger image is much easier to use in patient education and diagnosis.
We also offer digital panoramic imaging, which helps us take a closer look at your whole mouth. The panorex rotates around you to capture an image of all of your teeth and their roots, your jaws, temporomandibular joints (TMJ), and sinuses. It’s capable of identifying a number of structural or developmental problems, and it’s especially helpful in evaluating wisdom teeth and impactions. In addition to digital x-rays, we use a laser assisted CariVU device to detect cavities before they can be seen on an x-ray.
